Before any renovation or demolition, suspect materials should be sampled and analyzed by an accredited lab. In South Carolina, inspections for regulated projects must be performed by a state-licensed asbestos inspector.
We sample the materials you plan to disturb — ceiling texture, floor tile and mastic, drywall joint compound, siding, roofing, pipe and duct insulation — and send them for PLM (polarized light microscopy) analysis.
You get a written report showing which materials contain asbestos, which don’t, and what that means for your project, permit, and budget.

Frequently asked questions
How long do asbestos test results take?
Turnaround depends on the lab and the rush level you choose. TODO: typical turnaround, e.g. standard vs rush
Can I just take a sample myself?
Homeowners can buy mail-in kits, but disturbing a suspect material can release fibers, and a DIY result generally will not satisfy permit or contractor requirements. A licensed inspector’s report is what SC DES and most contractors require for regulated work.
