Asbestos-cement (“transite”) siding shingles and some older roofing felts, shingles and flashing cements contain asbestos. Breaking them during a tear-off can make a non-friable material friable.
We remove these materials intact and coordinate directly with re-roofing crews so the job flows straight into replacement.

Is asbestos siding dangerous?
Intact asbestos-cement siding is relatively stable. The risk comes from breaking, cutting, sanding or pressure-washing it. Removal should be planned, not done with a pry bar.
