Abatement means removing (or sometimes encapsulating or enclosing) asbestos-containing material under controlled conditions: containment, negative air with HEPA filtration, wet methods, bagging, and disposal at a permitted landfill.
We handle the paperwork side as well — SC DES project notification/licensing where required — so your remodel, sale, or demolition isn’t held up.
When the work is done, the area is cleaned and, where required or requested, cleared with visual inspection and air sampling before containment comes down.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to leave my house during abatement?
It depends on the size and location of the work. Many small residential projects are sealed off so you can stay in the rest of the home; we’ll tell you up front.
Can asbestos be left in place?
Often, yes. Intact, undamaged asbestos material that won’t be disturbed can sometimes be left alone or encapsulated. We’ll tell you honestly when removal isn’t necessary.
