Asbestos Testing Before Renovation in SC

Test first. It’s cheaper than guessing.

If your home or building was built before about 1980 and your renovation will disturb walls, ceilings, floors, siding, roofing, or insulation, testing first is the safe and often the required step.

Materials to test before you remodel

  • Popcorn / acoustic ceiling texture
  • Vinyl floor tile and black mastic
  • Sheet vinyl flooring
  • Drywall joint compound and some plasters
  • Pipe, boiler and duct insulation
  • Asbestos-cement siding and roofing
  • Window glazing and caulks

How it works

  1. Call and tell us what you’re renovating.
  2. We sample only the materials your project will disturb.
  3. Lab results come back with a written report.
  4. If anything is positive, we quote removal and handle SC DES paperwork.
